TV Tropes
I think there should be a page for Chatoyant College on the TV Tropes website. What do you think? Who should write the page?
if we can get Chatoyant College mentioned on individual pages (e.g. In the Web Original section of "Magic A is Magic A" or "Functional Magic") then it may act as a marketing tool.

That would be awesome
Go for it!
Suggested tropes (WARNING: CONTAINS SPOILERS)
If we're going to do this then it's probably best if we start by agreeing what tropes to list CC under so that we can cross-reference easily.
Tropes that I think we should use:
Ones that I am not sure of:
What do you all think?
Other Tropes (MORE SPOILERS)
Thinking about it, these apply as well:
Should I include them?
Sure
The second one, at least, clearly applies, even if werewolves are sort of half-human themselves.
Done
Human Mom, non-human Dad added to Chatoyant College page
Chatoyant College added to the Human Mom, non-human Dad page
Update
I'm still getting my head around the TV Tropes system. I think I might be able to start soon.
However, I'm not opposed to someone else creating/editing the pages.
Questions
How much of the magical knowledge is a spoiler and how much can be discussed? I ask because, looking at the way "Functional Magic" is explained on other works, all the magic types are described:
Let's see, so far we've got "Inherent", "Trance", "Faerie" and "Djanaea".[1]
Have I missed anything? Are we going to get any more types?
I'll list Inherent and Trance for now but I (or someone else if I'm not available) can remove them if you classify the properties of the magic as spoilers.
[1] It looks like Werewolf magic, apart from transforming is, basically, "Trance".
If you guys know about it...
I wouldn't classify it as a spoiler. But I guess you might want to hide anything from the last couple of books under spoiler tags, in case people who haven't read it yet or who are partway through it want to look at the page?
Don't know how much you care about specifics, but the faerie in disguise at a party is named Elrath.
Actions
Magic put behind spoilers.
Core group changed from "four" to "three".
{edit} I apologise if I was abrupt earlier.
No problem!
If you were, I didn't notice. Hope you're having fun with the TVTropes page.
Update
Chatoyant College page created. Links to Chatoyant College page created from:
Urban Fantasy (Gay & Lesbian and Young Adult left not linked from because they didn't seem to be written for web based material)
Functional Magic
Interspecies Friendship
Interspecies Romance
Magic A is Magic A
True Sight
Wacky College
Not linked from:
Dude Looks Like a Lady
Friends with Benefits
In each case not linked to because I didn't think they were a big enough part of the story to justify a link from the trope named.
Request for ideas
That list looks a little short to me. Any ideas what could be added?
Another update
Added link to CC from Web Serial Novel. A reverse link has automatically appeared.
Echo Chamber and CC
I just thought you'd enjoy this piece of news:
Echo Chamber is TV Tropes own serial (so is heavily adverised on TV Tropes)
If you scroll down to the bottom of the Echo Chamber's page you'll see the following on the Urban Fantasy line:
Chatoyant College Urban Fantasy Metamor City
At least until something else comes along.
In light of recent events
I'm wondering with we should add tropes relating to stalkers, spies and changes in power?
In relation to Paul
In relation to Paul, possible tropes are:
Stalker with a Crush
If I Can't Have You...
Not Good With Rejection
Yandere
Hollywood Restraining Order
What do you think?
Sounds good
I'm not really familiar with the last two, and I am resisting the impulse to look them up, because TVTropes will suck me in! But if you think they fit, feel free to add them.
Definitions
Yandere: Someone who is a stalker that seems sweet but gets violent at the drop of a hat.
Hollywood Restraining Order: More or less any time a restraining order is mentioned -- whether or not it's respected (more often than not it's not).
Thinking about it, the restraining order is not a good one. I'll include the 3 that you concur with and think carefully abou Yandere because I'm not sure if it applies.
Updated
The first three are now part of the page and have been cross-referenced from the other tropes.
Spying
The only ones that seem to apply (at first sight anyway) are:
The Handler -- Corrie, Dawn and Edie seem to be Ever's handlers
The Spymaster -- I think this trope defines Professor Lal
