Book 8 is dead, long live Book 9?
So, as I mentioned in the comments to the last chapter, Book 8 is now complete. I'm not ready to start writing Book 9 yet, but I hope to get a short story or two up between books. In the meantime, let's talk about Book 9!
I do have some of the plot in mind for Book 9, but not all of it. There's going to be more of a focus on Edie than there was in the last book, and some familiar faeries will be causing mischief (let's call it that, it sounds nice).
I'm going to be writing Book 9 differently than I have other books. At least, I don't think I've done this before. I usually try to write ahead with the intention of editing, but that's been unsuccessful--I almost never remember to edit a chapter before I post it! For the last book, I wrote it all in one long chunk, but that obviously didn't help me keep details straight and I don't think it made a difference in the story arc. So for Book 9, I'm going to write it a chapter at a time, in the day or two before it goes up. This also means that any suggestions or comments you guys make are much more likely to get incorporated, whether as plot points, things to avoid, or questions that the characters might ask. And I'll definitely be relying on you to keep the details straight!
Is there anything you'd particularly like to see happen in Book 9 (which will encompass the end of November and probably the beginning of December, possibly up to the end of the first semester)? Dangling plot threads from Book 8 or earlier? I can't promise that everything will get included, but I can and do promise to consider all your comments.
